Event Details: Tours leave the dock every hour on the hour, beginning at 10 a.m. Last tour leaves at 2 p.m.
Tour availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Location: World Cruise Center
Event Details: Get an intimate look at the lives of our nation’s sailors aboard an active U.S. Navy vessel. Tour the ship and meet the crew during their week in port in celebration of Navy Days LA. Ship name will be announced closer to the event date. Visiting ships in the past include the USS Wayne E. Meyer, USS Abraham Lincoln, and USS Gary.

Tall Ships® Festival LA 2014: Wedn. Aug. 20-Sun. Aug. 24
Location: San Pedro, CA
Event Details: The majestic Tall Ships return to the Port of Los Angeles at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20 with a grand parade of sail into port to kick off Tall Ships® Festival LA 2014. More than a dozen ships will be participating, and the public will be able to board these vessels with tours. Activities include dockside demonstrations, maritime-themed entertainment, international and art markets, and an educational area for young and old alike. Food will be available for purchase and a wide variety of specialty restaurants in San Pedro are within walking distance from the event.

• Red Bull Global Rallycross: Fri. Sept. 19, Sat. Sept. 20 and Sun. Sept. 21

Location: Berth 46, Outer Harbor, San Pedro
Event Details: Los Angeles becomes the next location to join in Red Bull Global Rallycross’ rich tradition of doubleheader events, playing host to a pair of race events on the LA Waterfront. With the new event comprising the second of three events in a seven-day span, drivers will be keen to finish the doubleheader on a high note before traveling to the Pacific Northwest. Preview races are FREE to the public on Friday, September 19.

Event Details: Celebrate the bounty of the sea! This unique event offers ocean-related activities for every age, including face-painting, an exciting marine life puppet show, and a giant origami demonstration. Adventurous pirates of all ages can join in the search for buried treasure in the “Great Treasure Hunt.” Learn how to cast a fishing line. For those with the competitive spirit, join in on the “Beach Olympics,” and enter our sand sculpture contest, taking place just a few steps away on Cabrillo Beach. Stop by and chat with more than two dozen organizations concerned with marine-related issues, or browse various artist booths and admire their beautiful and unique hand crafted pieces. Enjoy live music playing throughout the day ranging from the jazz sounds of Harold Greene on the chapman stick to the Japanese drum group Kokoro Taiko and the soothing tunes of Stucco Rainbow. Explore the Aquarium's Southern California Marine Life Exhibit Hall, Aquatic Nursery, Exploration Center, and Marine Research Library. Holidays by the Sea, Weekends, Dec. 6-21

Event Details: We're kicking off the Season on Saturday, December 6, from 6 to 9pm, with activities, food, performances by the San Pedro High School Glee Club and the San Pedro City Ballet, and more!  And to top it all off, at 7pm we'll have a special welcome before the holiday light spectacular and showing of the classic cartoon "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" on the sails of a Tall Ship!! (Special thanks to the Los Angeles Maritime Institute for the use of their wonderful ships!). The fun continues on each Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 21 with the showing of a different Holiday classic each weekend - see the schedule above.

LA Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade: Sat. Dec. 6
Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Main Channel of the Port of Los Angeles
Event Details: Sponsored by the Port of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade starts in the East Basin near Banning’s Landing Community Center in Wilmington and takes approximately 90 minutes to cover the entire parade route through the Los Angeles Main Channel. Spectators may view the procession from several points along the Main Channel, including:

-Cruise Ship Promenade, Harbor Boulevard and Swinford Street, San Pedro
