Think Globally. Earn Locally.
International Trade Academies are an educational bridge connecting students to the wide world of global trade and the many exciting career opportunities they will find there.
The Port of Los Angeles International Trade Academy is the first program in a series of academic clusters designed, developed and implemented by International Trade Education Programs, a nonprofit organization. Nearly 200 Banning High School students are involved in the Port of Los Angeles International Trade Academy. Fundamental subjects, such as math, English, science and social studies are augmented by courses in logistics, global trade on the Internet and geography. Students also participate in mock negotiations, teambuilding and witness trade in action on field trips. All classes and programs are designed to introduce students to the many careers in international trade. The Port of Los Angeles International Trade Academy helps to meet the workforce need of a growth industry, while providing invaluable educational opportunities to Banning High School students.

International Trade Education Programs (ITEP) dedicates itself to the preparation of economically disadvantaged high school and post high school students for careers in international trade. A project of Community Partners, ITEP believes that career academies can help meet the needs of an expanding business sector while providing exceptional opportunity for economically underserved students.
