NATION’S LEADING CONTAINERPORT MARKS CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY
WITH YEARLONG SPECIAL EVENT SCHEDULE

The Port of Los Angeles, the number one containerport in the United States, is celebrating its 100th anniversary during 2007, with special events planned throughout the year.  The Port’s centennial celebration culminates with a public birthday celebration on December 9, 2007, the actual anniversary of the founding of the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners.

The following Port of Los Angeles centennial events are slated for 2007:

Centennial Rail Festival
Find out about the newest rail technology for cleaner air and take a look at some of the historic trains that helped shape the Port and regional commerce.

World Trade Week Boat Tours
