Notice of Intent (NOI)/Notice of Preparation (NOP) – Berths 226-236 [Everport] Container Terminal Improvements Project

The Environmental Management Division of the Los Angeles Harbor Department and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have prepared a joint NOI/NOP for the following project in the Port of Los Angeles:

Berths 226-236 [Everport] Container Terminal Improvements Project

NOI/NOP: An NOI/NOP is the first step in the EIS/EIR process. It is a document stating that an EIS/EIR will be prepared for a particular project.

The NOI/NOP is released for public review to solicit feedback. This feedback helps identify the potential environmental impacts and project alternatives to be addressed in the EIS/EIR.

AVAILABILITY: The NOI/NOP is available for review at: L.A. Public Library, San Pedro Branch, 921 South Gaffey Street, San Pedro, California; L.A. Public Library, Wilmington Branch, 1300 North Avalon, Wilmington, California; or Los Angeles Harbor Department, Environmental Management Division, 222 W. 6th Street, 9th Floor, San Pedro, California. CD copies of the NOI/NOP are also available at the Environmental Management Division Offices.

PUBLIC MEETING: A public scoping meeting will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 6 p.m. in the Board Room of the Harbor Administration Building, 425 S. Palos Verdes Street, San Pedro, California.

COMMENTS: Comments on the NOI/NOP will be received through November 24, 2014.
