While our traditional harbor tours are on hold due to the pandemic, our virtual boat tours offer an opportunity to visit Los Angeles Harbor from the comfort of your own home. These virtual tours offer two routes, each jam-packed with beautiful cinematography and information about the busiest port in the Western Hemisphere. The Wilmington Harbor Tour explores the some of the Port's non-container terminals and historical icons, while the San Pedro Harbor Tour traverses down the Main Channel to explore container terminals, museums and highly anticipated West Harbor.

Port of Los Angeles Cargo Volume Strong Start to 2021

Feb. 17, 2021 - The Port of Los Angeles processed 835,516 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in January 2021, an increase of 3.6% compared to January 2020. It was the sixth consecutive month of year-over-year increases as U.S. consumer spending continues to drive demand for goods.

A Record February at the Port of Los Angeles

Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka announced cargo volume was 799,315 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in February, a 47% jump compared to February 2020. Seroka is joined by warehouse and freight expert Fran Inman, who discusses how supply and demand and a spike in e-commerce affected distribution centers near the San Pedro Bay port complex.

Cargo Surge Breaks March, First Quarter Records at the Port of Los Angeles

April 14, 2021 - The Port of Los Angeles processed 957,599 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in March, a 113% leap compared to March 2020 when global trade slowed to a crawl at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the strongest March in the Port’s 114-year history, its busiest first quarter and by far the largest monthly year-over-year increase.
