The Port of Los Angeles works to ensure that the environmental impacts of its ongoing harbor development efforts are properly mitigated, as required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).  Mitigation measures are detailed in Environmental Impact Statement/Report (What is an EIS/EIR?) developed for each project.
