Port Will Provide Community Members with Project Updates on San Pedro and Wilmington Waterfront Initiatives

SAN PEDRO, Calif. — February 10, 2011 — The Port of Los Angeles will hold an LA Waterfront Public Meeting, where community members will learn about the progress of the many waterfront development projects in Wilmington and San Pedro.   The meeting will take place on Monday, February, 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel, located at 601 South Palos Verdes Street, in San Pedro.

“This is another opportunity to present updates on a wide range of waterfront projects, answer questions and take public comment,” said Port Executive Director Geraldine Knatz, Ph.D. “We’ve got a lot to report on, and we’re looking forward to more community feedback, particularly on proposals the Port has received from developers for future uses of Warehouses 9 and 10.”

The meeting will include status updates on current and future LA Waterfront projects in Wilmington and San Pedro.  There will be a public comment period to offer feedback and ask questions.

The meeting is part of an ongoing series of progress reports and public workshops designed to keep community members informed and participating in the LA Waterfront project process. For more information, call (310) 732-3508, or visit www.lawaterfront.org.
