TICKETS ON SALE FOR 28TH ANNUAL SEAFOOD FEAST AND SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT LOCAL YOUTH

SAN PEDRO, Calif. — April 17, 2015 — The Propeller Club of Los Angeles-Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Port of Long Beach and International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) will host the 28th Annual Seafood Feast and Memorial Scholarship Fundraising event on Wednesday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at San Pedro Fish Market, located at Berth 78 (1190 Nagoya Way) in Ports O’ Call Village in San Pedro. This event’s generous seafood assortment features swordfish, fried calamari, smoked halibut, shrimp scampi, octopus salad, and mostaccioli.

The Seafood Feast and Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1987 to honor the memory of longshore workers who have lost their lives working on the waterfront. Funds raised at the event are awarded to local high school seniors entering college in the fall. Since its inception, more than $200,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
