PortTechLA TO BRING TOGETHER ENTREPRENEURS, INVESTORS AND MARITIME INDUSTRY AT  SEPTEMBER 15 TECHNOLOGY EXPO AND INVESTMENT CONFERENCE

Conference at DoubleTree Hotel in San Pedro to Feature Latest Innovations in Maritime Environmental, Security, Logistics and Energy Technologies

SAN PEDRO, Calif. — July 20, 2010 — PortTechLA will host a Technology Expo and Investment Conference on September 15 that will showcase business  innovations to investors, strategic partners and the maritime industry in the San Pedro Bay port complex. PortTechLA will present a series of innovation awards at the event.

The day-long conference at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Pedro will feature demonstrations, speakers, seminars, roundtable discussions, networking and an opportunity for entrepreneurs, investors, the maritime business community and others to assess strategic relationships.

“This is an opportunity for PortTechLA affiliates and other businesses to meet prospective investors, present new technologies and seek strategic partners from those doing business at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach,” said Jeff Milanette, executive director  of PortTechLA. “This port complex is a worldwide leader in green maritime technology as well as state-of-the art security, logistics and energy applications. The Expo will give investors and businesses a chance to assess innovations in these fields that may benefit their operations and the environment.”

Milanette has helped organize and participated in similar conferences which have resulted in successful partnerships between technology companies and investors.
