PORT OF LOS ANGELES TO PRESENT TWO IMPORTANT STUDIES
AT SEPTEMBER 6 INFORMATIONAL MEETING
2005 Air Emissions Inventory and
Zero Emissions Container Mover System Evaluation will be Presented
SAN PEDRO, Calif. — August 31, 2007 — The Port of Los Angeles will present its findings from two important studies at a public informational meeting scheduled for 6 pm on Thursday, September 6. The studies being presented are the Port of Los Angeles 2005 Air Emissions Inventory and the Zero Emissions Container Mover System Evaluation. The Air Emissions Study is a follow-up to the baseline air emissions study done for 2001. The Zero Emissions Container Mover System Evaluation study looked at various emissions-free technologies for moving containers without air emissions. The meeting will be held in the Port’s Administration Building, located at 425 S. Palos Verdes Street, San Pedro, and all are invited.
The studies will be posted on the Port of Los Angeles website at www.portoflosangeles.org.
