Military Equipment Funding, Acquisition and Use Policy
On Sept. 30, 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 481 to address the funding, acquisition, and use of military equipment by law enforcement agencies in California. Assembly Bill 481 has designated certain equipment as “military equipment,” regardless of whether it was procured from the military or not.
