Successful applicants are eligible for jobs anywhere in the City of Los Angeles where a job classification exists based upon the score achieved on the examination.

To learn about civil service examinations for which applications are being accepted, visit the City of Los Angeles Personnel Department website. Applications for civil service examinations are available from both the City of Los Angeles Personnel Department and Port of Los Angeles Human Resources Division. The Port's Human Resources Division may accept applications for examinations and forward them to the Personnel Department.
