PORT OF LOS ANGELES TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON
SAN PEDRO WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

SAN PEDRO, Calif. – January 19, 2007 – A public meeting on the San Pedro Waterfront improvement project will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 6 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Pedro, located at 601 South Palos Verdes Street.

The purpose of the public meeting is to:

  • Provide information to the public about the project and alternatives;
  • Assist in identifying and developing the significant issues and alternatives to be analyzed in the environmental review process; and
  • Invite public participation on the scope of the environmental issues to be studied.

All interested parties are invited to attend this meeting.  Public comments, oral and written, will be taken at the meeting and will continue to be taken throughout the 66-day scoping period, which ends on Wednesday, February 28.  More information on the project is available on the Port’s website at www.portoflosangeles.org.
